Portable Barrel "Rench"
Loosening a very tight muzzle device held on by an abundance of locking
compound can lead to problems when the torque is fed though the barrel,
then into the barrel extensions, then the upper, etc. Sometimes the barrel
extension will shift in the upper, and sometimes the barrel simply starts
screwing out of the barrel extension. The PBR isolates the torque to the
barrel directly behind the muzzle, so nothing else gets stressed. It is
made as compact as possible and uses your bolt carrier or other "cheater"
for leverage. It also serves as a gas tube clamp and a buffer tube clamp to
help prevent the buffer tube from moving during tightening and loosening,
which leads to the receiver plate key deforming the buffer tube threads,
The PBR is $140 plus $10 Priority mail.
